Ahoy Mateys! On September 6th, Jess Gerstner released the Cat Costumes set which includes a Pirate, a Jester, a Cowboy and a Viking!  She has had a Halloween Critter Theme on her YouTube channel all week so be sure to check it out and visit her Etsy shop JessCraftsShop, before this adorable pirate takes off for the high seas.  Pirate kitty was colored in with Spectrum Noirs and the fish bone was traced Sharpie white paint pen.  I made the ocean background using Ranger Posh Impressions Rainbow Inks, Luminous Metallics in the following colors: Violet, Blue and Teal. Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #35 - Burlap and Lace

This is my entry for the Inky Paws Challenge #35 - Burlap and Lace over at Newton's Nook Designs.  This card was a stretch for my usual style.  The background is the small set of gathered flowers from the set Fanciful FloralsI wanted a fall rainbow effect for the background, so I used my Archival Inks (Carnation Red, Monarch Orange, Chrome Yellow, Cornflower Blue and Blue Violet).  The butterflies are from the set Beautiful Wings, I knew I need to pick a color that would go with the fall look so I choose Ranger Embossing Pearl Gold.  Happy Crafting!

This is my entry for the Inky Paws Challenge #34 - Summer over at Newton's Nook Designs.  It's been a very difficult weekend so I wanted this Newton to represent my beautiful Bella who's been in the hospital since Friday evening battling respiratory problems but she's a fighter so please send positive thoughts and energy her way.  My coloring doesn't do justice for my beautiful Bella,  I've included her picture below. The image I used was from the set Aloha NewtonSpectrum Noirs markers provide colors for the image.  Happy Crafting!

Newton's Nook Designs: Naughty or Nice?

My New Year's resolution for 2016 is to make at least one Christmas card a week so when Christmas time comes around in 2016 I'm ready to send my cards and it doesn't come to crunch time.  This is my card for week 24, if you are interested in seeing my cards for week 1-12 please visit my Facebook page.  Unfortunately, due to my boyfriend's illness earlier this year I wasn't able to keep up with my resolution but I will be playing catch up when I have some upcoming vacation time.

Last weekend when I was at Kohl's with my Mom, I came across these really cute plastic cups that say "Coal" across them, I thought this would be so cute for my coworkers to fill the cup with some candy for a little Christmas present. My Mom had mentioned it might be a little mean of a gift and I said not if it was accompanied with a Naughty or Nice card.

To design this card I used my two favorite stamp company's Newton's Nook Designs and Lawn Fawn.  The two adorable kittens came from Newton's Nook Designs stamp sets Newton's Christmas Cuddles and Newton's Curious Christmas.  I used Lawn Fawn's alphabet stamp sets Violet's ABCs and Smitty's ABCs, as well as their Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Scalloped Rectangle StackablesI used Spectrum Noirs to color the image.

I hope you enjoy.  Happy Crafting!

A closer image of the cup, since the above picture is pretty dark.

2016 Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!

Below is my second entry for the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop, when I was crafting with my Mom and sister yesterday, I was telling them I'm going to create a mermaid scene for my cousin, Jana's birthday, and she'll be enjoying a Starbucks beverage, which also happens to be my cousins favorite coffee shop. My Mom and sister thought the idea was a little strange at first but encouraged me and said why not.  I used the Craftin Desert Divas stamp set Magical Wishes, to make Ariel, Flounder came from the Lawn Fawn stamp set Fintastic Friends and Sebastian came from the Lawn Fawn stamp set Life is Good.  The coffee cup is from the Create A Smile stamp set Coffee First. I used Spectrum Noirs to color the image. The sand on the bottom of the ocean is sand paper.  I made the ocean background using Ranger Posh Impressions Rainbow Inks, Luminous Metallics in the following colors: Violet, Blue and Teal.  I hope you enjoy.  Happy Crafting!

2016 Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!

Below is my first entry for the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop, I'm personally not a big coffee drinker unless, its my Starbucks® Bottled Vanilla Frappuccino® Coffee Drink or my Quick Check Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino which sadly is only around for October and November, sometimes I get lucky and they have it towards the later end of September, I digress. My sister Jess Gerstner loves her Dunkin Donuts coffee anytime anywhere, in fact when we were crafting yesterday she was mentioning when she went on her honeymoon to Las Vegas they didn't have a Dunkin Donuts to be found and she had to settle on Starbucks because she was in dire need of coffee.  The card below is a tribute to my sister and her Dunkin Donuts coffee.  I used the Lawn Fawn Party Animals stamp and lawn cuts.  The coffee cups are from the Create A Smile stamp set Coffee First. I used Spectrum Noirs to color the image. I hope you get to enjoy some coffee outside this summer with your family and friends.  Happy Crafting!
