Jess Crafts Digitals: Valentine Elephants

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone is having a happy and healthy New Year.  This is my first blog post for my very first design team, Jess Crafts Digitals; you can find out more about Jess Craft Digitals by clicking here.

In the craft world we are already working on Valentine cards. My first Valentine's day card for 2017 is a shaker card, it also happens to be my first shaker card.  To cut out the elephants and the background I used my Brother's Scan and Cut machine.  I colored the elephants using my Spectrum Noir markers, the male elephant is a few shades darker than the female. I used 3M foam tape to make the layers for the shaker card and acetate sheets for the shaker window.

You can purchase the Valentine Elephants for Jess Crafts Digitals by clicking here, they were first released this past Friday on January 6, 2017.

Jess Crafts Digitals: Cat Costumes: Pirate

Ahoy Mateys! On September 6th, Jess Gerstner released the Cat Costumes set which includes a Pirate, a Jester, a Cowboy and a Viking!  She has had a Halloween Critter Theme on her YouTube channel all week so be sure to check it out and visit her Etsy shop JessCraftsShop, before this adorable pirate takes off for the high seas.  Pirate kitty was colored in with Spectrum Noirs and the fish bone was traced Sharpie white paint pen.  I made the ocean background using Ranger Posh Impressions Rainbow Inks, Luminous Metallics in the following colors: Violet, Blue and Teal. Happy Crafting!

Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #35 - Burlap and Lace

This is my entry for the Inky Paws Challenge #35 - Burlap and Lace over at Newton's Nook Designs.  This card was a stretch for my usual style.  The background is the small set of gathered flowers from the set Fanciful Florals.  I wanted a fall rainbow effect for the background, so I used my Archival Inks (Carnation Red, Monarch Orange, Chrome Yellow, Cornflower Blue and Blue Violet).  The butterflies are from the set Beautiful Wings, I knew I need to pick a color that would go with the fall look so I choose Ranger Embossing Pearl Gold.  Happy Crafting!
